Les infrastructures de transport et la mobilité participent à la définition de ce que sera la ville de demain. Elles doivent compter avec l’émergence des nouvelles technologies, la diversification des modalités de transport et l’évolution des pratiques. Une bonne prise en compte de ces aspects peut favoriser et accélérer la transition vers la ville du futur, avec un impact social, environnemental et économique positif, afin de faire face aux évolutions prévisibles du contexte. Cet article propose une analyse exploratoire sur les évolutions de la mobilité et des transports en ville. Pour cela, nous avons étudié, via une approche lexicométrique, la littérature scientifique relative à la mobilité, aux transports et à leurs évolutions. Cette approche a été complétée par une série d’entretiens menés auprès d’experts du domaine des transports et de la mobilité, qui ont donné lieu à une analyse qualitative et lexicométrique. La mise en relation de ces différentes analyses a permis de tracer les points prégnants de l’évolution de la mobilité et des transports, et de traduire la différence de point de vue entre ces deux groupes. Ainsi, la littérature scientifique propose beaucoup de travaux mettant en avant des innovations technologiques, alors que les experts se sont plutôt concentrés sur les évolutions des pratiques et ont discuté la notion de parcimonie dans la mobilité. Ces deux visions sont toutefois complémentaires et conduisent à plusieurs voies pour la mobilité de la ville de demain.
