Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present a generative neural model for open and multi-turn dialog response generation that relies on a multi-dimension attention process to account for the semantic interdependence between the generated words and the conversational history, so as to identify all the words and utterances that influence each generated response. The performance of the model is evaluated on the wide scope DailyDialog corpus and a comparison is made with two other generative neural architectures, using several machine metrics. The results show that the proposed model improves the state of the art for generation accuracy, and its multi-dimension attention allows for a more detailed tracking of the influential words and utterances in the dialog history for response explainability by the dialog history.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
