Abstract

Cet article a pour enjeu la protection des rapports et des expériences de savoirs que nous ressentons comme vivants, ainsi que la réflexion sur les processus mortifères qui affectent les institutions de recherche, dont rendent compte par exemple l’apparition du terme « zombie » à propos de technologies ou de concepts. Après avoir montré en quoi ce projet entend renouer avec l’idée d’une écologie politique des savoirs, nous explicitons en quoi cette question hérite des discussions épistémologiques et politiques qui ont marqué l’émergence des STS en France dans les années 1970. En revenant sur nos travaux respectifs, nous montrons en quoi le caractère vivant et zombifié des savoirs est quelque chose qui s’éprouve avant tout depuis l’enquête, notamment dans les situations de rencontre avec les publics des savoirs. En ce sens, nous défendons donc l’idée que l’enquête peut ici constituer une entreprise collective à partir de laquelle mettre en pratique une écologie politique des savoirs. Cette dernière consisterait alors à sonder la dimension vivante ou morte des sciences en société, dans l’interstice des lieux de production des sciences professionnelles et dans leurs périphéries.
