La teología indígena es la más antigua de amerindia, cuya base es el sumak kawsay, una cosmovisión que establece una relación armónica de las comunidades indígenas con la Pacha Mama, todos los seres humanos, las deidades y los ancestros. Opera como teología de la resistencia frente a la globalización neoliberal. Se vive en la experiencia histórica y cotidiana de las comunidades indígenas y se expresa a través de ritos, cantos, mitos, utopías e interpretaciones dramáticas que transmiten utopías del bien vivir.
