Cet article empirique vise à mieux comprendre les rapports au droit d’acteurs « profanes » et leurs liens plausibles avec ceux de divers professionnels qui interviennent dans leurs parcours. La recherche qualitative a été réalisée auprès de personnes bénéficiaires du programme québécois d’aide financière de dernier recours et de professionnels provenant de différentes cultures juridiques (réseau de la santé et des services sociaux, organismes communautaires en défense des droits et services juridiques) les ayant soutenues dans leurs démarches médicales, administratives ou juridiques avec « l’aide sociale ». À partir de cas empiriques et d’analyses croisées, l’article montre comment des stratégies professionnelles distinctes contribuent à façonner le rapport au droit des personnes bénéficiaires. Dans le cadre de la discussion, nous identifions des continuums et des tensions qui traversent ces cultures juridiques, indépendamment des milieux institutionnels, et qui viennent infléchir et façonner le rapport au droit des personnes bénéficiaires.
