Abstract
Le portrait statistique des jeunes immigrants ayant obtenu le statut de résident permanent permet de mieux comprendre les étapes de leur parcours au Québec. Prenant en compte leur situation pré-migratoire et à l’arrivée, notamment en matière de formation, d’emploi, de réseau d’information et de soutien ou de choix de la région d’établissement, l’étude mobilise une comparaison avec les migrants plus âgés à partir des données de l’enquête ECINA. Parmi ses résultats, elle révèle une légèrement meilleure insertion professionnelle des plus jeunes et le rôle déterminant des études dans leur projet migratoire.
