Abstract
O enfrentamento a violência contra a mulher no Brasil foi marcado pela promulgação da Lei 11.340 de 2006, que trouxe, de forma inovadora, a palavra gênero e seus desdobramentos para o Direito brasileiro, além de criar a primeira política pública de gênero no país. Muitos foram os avanços legais e a ampliação do campo de estudos de violência de gênero após o advento da lei, entretanto recentemente, esse cenário tem mudado. O avanço da extrema direita no Brasil tem ameaçado as conquistas legais e os espaços de discussão e prevenção da violência contra a mulher, ao defender a desvinculação da violência contra a mulher a uma questão de gênero. Assim, esse artigo tem como objetivo discutir a repercussão da presença da perspectiva de gênero no Direito brasileiro, após a Lei Maria da Penha até o advento do Protocolo do CNJ, e as recentes ameaças a essas conquistas. As incursões recentes contra a palavra gênero têm ameaçado a consolidação, ainda em andamento, da política de gênero e o fortalecimento da rede de enfrentamento que inclui a prevenção e a construção de uma educação na perspectiva de gênero.
