Abstract

Dans cet article, nous présentons les résultats d’une étude empirique que nous avons réalisée dans quatre universités espagnoles où l’on enseigne la traduction et l’interprétation, afin d’obtenir des données objectives sur la façon dont les matières théoriques sont reçues par les étudiants dans les programmes d’enseignement supérieur. Cette analyse quantitative est basée sur plus de 1 100 questionnaires et un traitement de données grâce au programme Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), largement utilisé dans les sciences sociales et appliquées. Nous avons complété l’étude par une analyse exhaustive des plans des cours théoriques des programmes de licence en traduction de toutes les universités espagnoles pour établir une cartographie des piliers conceptuels sur lesquels repose actuellement la formation des traducteurs et des interprètes en Espagne. Les aspects centraux de notre recherche sont l’analyse des compétences, des contenus, des activités d’enseignement et d’apprentissage et, enfin, des activités d’évaluation. Les données nous permettent d’établir des corrélations entre les attentes, les perceptions et les intérêts des étudiants et la formation que les centres universitaires offrent pour ce type de matières. Notre objectif est d’analyser la situation actuelle de la façon la plus précise possible afin d’obtenir des données particulières sur les aspects qui peuvent être améliorés, dans le but d’adapter la planification des cours théoriques à un stade ultérieur.
