Abstract
La généalogie d’une famille souche, Pelletier-Voisy, débarquée à Québec en 1636, illustre, pour ses huit enfants et leur proche descendance, la dynamique d’interaction entre colons et Autochtones, marquée par la porosité et la fluidité des frontières ethniques et sociales. L’identité n’y a rien à voir avec le sang, relevant de trajectoires individuelles et de modalités d’intégration aux réseaux de parenté. Émerge la figure du voyageur et sa grande proximité avec les Autochtones. Des nomades maintiennent la mobilité de leur mode de vie en devenant voyageurs tandis que les colons-voyageurs adoptent la mobilité en voyageant avec et parmi les Autochtones. Le contexte colonial vise cette fusion des peuples et leur subordination à la couronne et à l’Église catholique. La tradition orale innue y voit le processus de la conquête.
