Ramón Tosas Fuentes (Manresa, 1944 - Briones, 1993), más conocido como Ivà, fue uno de los dibujantes humorísticos más populares e influyentes de los setenta y ochenta. Durante la transición española a la democracia (1975-1982), realizó en las páginas de la revista El Papus “Telediario Particular”, una sección de comentario político y social de actualidad en la que reproducía titulares aparecidos en la prensa a los que daba un contrapunto con una viñeta humorística. Ivà da voz a algunas de las principales reivindicaciones de la oposición democrática al franquismo, pero también fue uno de los primeros agentes culturales en exponer los déficits de la transición y el escepticismo ante las renuncias de los partidos de izquierda y la política de pactos que se impuso en su primera etapa. Además, realizó un seguimiento de algunas cuestiones clave en cualquier análisis crítico de la transición: la situación de los presos políticos en espera de la concesión de una amnistía, la crisis económica, la represión policial, las acciones de la extrema derecha, etcétera. El análisis crítico del trabajo de Ivà, con sus aciertos y errores —y una visión de conjunto forzosamente cortoplacista— permitirá dibujar un retrato de la transición alejado de la imagen modélica sostenida por algunos medios y personalidades políticas, impregnado de una consideración cínica y pesimista de la realidad social.
