Abstract
Cette étude tente de rapprocher deux poètes, souvent éloignés, autour d’un certain rapport à l’inscription. La nouvelle publication des œuvres de Victor Segalen dans l’édition de la Pléiade nous permet de prendre la mesure de l’instabilité des Stèles, tandis que la nostalgie de la dimension concrète de l’inscription chez Philippe Jaccottet nous invite à ne pas sous-estimer l’importance du « monument » dans son œuvre, fût-il « naturel ». En dernière analyse, nous interrogerons, chez les deux poètes, les formes que prend le désir d’inscription « dans la nature ».
