El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el comercio bilateral de manufacturas entre los países del Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte (TLCAN) desagregando en interno y externo el valor agregado contenido en las exportaciones de los 16 subsectores manufactureros para los años 2005, 2010 y 2015.A partir de un modelo multirregional de insumo-producto, se determina qué proporción del valor agregado proviene de los socios del TLCAN y se calcula el saldo comercial manufacturero en valor agregado interno.Los resultados revelan que las exportaciones manufactureras mexicanas son las de menor valor agregado interno y que las exportaciones de México y Canadá son altamente dependientes de insumos provenientes de EE.UU. y del resto del mundo.
