Permasalahan transportasi menjadi salah satu factor pendorong pemindahan Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) ke lokasi baru. Oleh sebab itu sudah selayaknya aspek transportasi perlu dipertimbangkan secara matang dalam perencanaan pembangunan IKN baru. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas beberapa isu strategis terkait transportasi sebagai bahan pertimbangan dan masukan untuk mendukung perencanaan pembangunan IKN. Artikel ini disusun melalui desk study dengan menggunakan sumber data dari buku, publikasi ilmiah, dan media elektronik. Penekanan pembahasan isu strategis diarahkan pada lessons learned negara yang berpengalaman memindahkan IKN terutama dalam aspek manajemen transportasi, tinjauan literature terkait potensi penerapan TOD pada simpul transportasi di IKN, dan tinjauan literature tentang prospek penggunaan system transportasi berkelanjutan di IKN.
