Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The present essay aims to analyze the election of the outsider leader Manuel Nunes Viana as governor of Minas, in the context of the Emboaba war, which took place on an unknown date in December 1708, during the conflict between Paulistas and Adventcios. This conflict was marked by the dispute for control of the mines and public offices between the men of the plateau, discoverers of gold in the region and the outsiders called emboabas by the paulistas and coming from different parts of the Portuguese colonial empire and the metropolis.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.
