Abstract
La pensée même est un flux rythmique, rythmé par la présence mentale successive des contenus conceptuels. La perception, d’autre part, c’est-à-dire la formation de percepts gestaltiques, constitue un autre flux rythmé par les périodes nécessaires à la formation amodale du « vécu ». Ces deux rythmes sont à la base des rythmes qui nous permettent de créer des expressions à rythme proprioceptif et liés à des contenus, devenus les signifiés de ces expressions. Les deux rythmes superposés sont ainsi articulés en phrases offrant des « paquets de sens » et fondant la communication sémiotique dans notre espèce comme moyen de partager et de développer collectivement les types de « paquets » que nous appelons des discours, développement qui commence par la musique, au sens large, et qui finit dans le langage et l’écriture. Le rythme précède et fonde le sens.
