Cette contribution propose une revue de littérature sur les usages d’un « parler-vrai » à l’école et à propos de l’école. Tout d’abord, le « parler-vrai » est conceptualisé à partir de l’oeuvre de Foucault sur la Parrhèsia comme une « sorte d’activité verbale où le locuteur a un rapport spécifique à la vérité par la franchise. » (Foucault, 2001, p. 19) Ensuite, une analyse thématique du corpus d’articles et d’ouvrages à l’aide du logiciel NVivo permet de distinguer quatre groupes de travaux qui structurent cet article : a) l’enseignant parrhésiaste et son savoir, b) la parrhèsia pour un projet démocratique à l’école, c) le chercheur en éducation comme intellectuel spécifique et d) la parrhèsia et les dispositifs d’expression de l’émotion. Les travaux mettent en évidence les obstacles à franchir pour que la pratique parrhésiastique puisse se réaliser au sein de l’école.
