Resumo Este artigo busca identificar o que se tem publicado em termos de ética e bioética no campo da educação física em revistas científicas. Realizou-se uma revisão sistematizada da literatura em janeiro de 2020 nas bases LILACS, SciELO, Web of Science, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, PubMed, Scopus, Eric e SPORTDiscus. Foram encontrados artigos em inglês publicados entre 2005 e 2018, sendo 12 estudos selecionados de acordo com os critérios de inclusão previstos. Resultaram quatro categorias: educação física como meio para o desenvolvimento pessoal no âmbito escolar, potencial do esporte como meio para a educação moral como formação de virtudes, nível de conhecimento de profissionais de educação física sobre ética e ética na formação desses profissionais. Considera-se que, apesar de questões alusivas a ética e bioética na educação física figurarem na literatura, é necessário ampliar os estudos nessa temática, ainda à margem da produção científica no campo.
