Embora haja diversas iniciativas voltadas à segurança do trabalho, anualmente são identificados milhões de casos, ocasionando prejuízos não apenas à organização, mas também à sociedade, ao Estado, ao Sistema de Saúde. Desta forma, este material tem como questão norteadora: Como podem ocorrer implementações de ferramentas que possibilitem uma cultura organizacional voltada à segurança do trabalho? Assim, este estudo buscou demonstrar através de base teórica a importância da segurança do trabalho, os números e algumas proposições para sua implementação, sugerindo por fim, melhores práticas para a implementação.
