O efeito da quarentena Covid-19 na massa corporal de atletas de brazilian Jiu-jitsu

Abstract
Introdução: Esportes de combate como judô, kickboxing, boxe, luta livre, jiu-jitsu brasileiro, taekwondo e karatê são esportes em atletas que são agrupados por categorias de peso. Devido a quarentena COVID-19, atletas brasileiros permaneceram confinados em suas casas sob restrito isolamento obrigatório durante aproximadamente 4 meses. Essa situação culminou na inatividade física, que pode ser um fator relacionado ao desenvolvimento do ganho de massa corporal. O presente artigo teve como objetivo verificar o impacto das restrições da quarentena da COVID-19 no peso de praticantes e atletas de Jiu-Jitsu. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo observacional com 162 atletas nacionais (67,7% homens), (38,38% faixas pretas), com 34,5 (6,8) anos de pratica no jiu-jitsu brasileiro. Eles respondem a um questionário sobre seu histórico de peso e impactos no ganho de massa corporal. A ANOVA de duas vias comparou os grupos de graduação e sexo. As correlações de Pearson indicaram uma associação entre a quarentena de COVID-19 e o ganho de massa corporal, com p ≤ 0,05. Resultados: Atletas de Jiu-Jitsu ganharam 4,27(4,44) kg durante a quarentena. Não houve impacto de sexo e graduação no tempo de quarentena sem treino (p=0,44 e p=0,23) ou ganho de massa corporal (p=0,63 e p=0,99). No entanto, existe uma correlação entre o ganho de massa corporal e o período sem treino durante a quarentena da COVID-19 (r=0,304, p≤0,001). Conclusão: A falta de atividade física impactou na massa corporal de todos os atletas de Jiu-Jitsu durante a quarentena da COVID-19, sem associação com sexo ou graduação.
