Extract Amy E. Eckert is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. She is the coeditor of Rethinking the 21st Century: “New” Problems, “Old” Solutions (2008) and her articles on ethics and politics have appeared in International Studies Quarterly and in the Journal of Global Ethics. She is currently writing a book on private military companies and just war theory. Caroline Fehl received her D.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Oxford, Nuffield College, and is a fellow of the Volkswagen Stiftung European Foreign and Security Policy Studies Programme. Her research interests include theoretical approaches to international institutions, and global governance in the areas of criminal justice, humanitarian law, and arms control.
