Abstract

HIV yaitu virus yang menyerang dan melemahkan system pertahanan tubuh manusia, sehingga mudah tertular berbagai penyakit. AIDS yaitu sekumpulan gejala penyakit akibat menurunnya kekebalan tubuh yang disebabkan oleh HIV. ODHA adalah sebutan bagi orang yang telah positif HIV/AIDS. Tujuan penelitian diperolehnya informasi mendalam tentang Analisis Stigma dan Diskriminasi Masyarakat terhadap Orang dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA) di Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengolahan data triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode, triangulasi data melibatkan 9 orang informan yang terdiri dari 3 orang informan utama, 3 orang informan kunci dan 3 orang informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan tentang penyakit HIV/AIDS masih rendah. Untuk sikap ada perlakuan mengucilkan ODHA. Tingkat pendidikan tidak mempengaruhi pemberian stigma dan diskriminasi. Informan mendapatkan informasi dari media televisi. Petugas kesehatan masih aktif melakukan penyuluhan seputar HIV/AIDS. Dukungan sosial ODHA jarang terjadi di masyarakat dengan alasan takut terhadap ODHA. Saran penelitian ini agar pihak Puskesmas dapat aktif dalam memberikan penyuluhan seputar HIV/AIDS sehingga masyarakat mendapat informasi yang benar sehingga stigma dan diskriminasi terhadap ODHA tidak lagi terjadi.
