The Link between the “New Journalism” and the Publication of Dialogues William Thomas Stead was one of the leading British journalists of the late 19th and early 20th century. As an editor of the London newspaper Pall Mall Gazette (1883-1890) he gained notoriety by launching press campaigns and creating scandals which rocked British society.
