Vulnerabilidad intrínseca a la contaminación del acuífero kárstico en Yucatán, considerando las anomalías gravimétricas de Bouguer

El análisis de las Anomalías Gravimétricas de Bouguer, basado en la densidad diferenciada de la roca, describe de mejor manera el sistema multianillos vinculado al Cráter de Chicxulub, sometido a diferentes tipos de clima y oscilaciones importantes de temperatura, favoreciendo el intemperismo. Para elaborar el mapa de vulnerabilidad intrínseca, se utilizó la metodología DRASTIC y variables derivadas del método EPIK. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que la vulnerabilidad baja corresponde a la porción sur del estado de Yucatán, con un 14 % de la superficie total estatal. La vulnerabilidad media se presenta en el eje sureste-noroeste con una superficie del 28 %. La vulnerabilidad alta se distribuye ampliamente en la región oriental, en la mayor zona de infiltración puntual en el Estado, con 28 % de la superficie estatal. La vulnerabilidad muy alta se asocia al sistema multianillos derivado del Cráter de Chicxulub debido a las diferencias de densidades de la roca y a la conductividad hidráulica. Esta zona radial se extiende en el 24 % del territorio estatal. Por último, la vulnerabilidad extrema, se presenta en forma de parches en el oriente del Estado, vinculado con la mayor permeabilidad del territorio, derivado de una importante presencia de cenotes, densidad de dolinas, fracturas, fallas, y un tipo de clima donde ocurre la mayor precipitación (1,000 – 1,200 mm/año), generando procesos kársticos muy dinámicos. Se extiende en el 6 % del territorio estatal.
