Abstract
O objetivo do artigo é refletir sobre os atravessamentos capitalistas na reordenação do cenário contemporâneo, no qual a publicidade atua como um dos pilares da comunicação social a partir da construção do “comum” (SODRÉ, 2015). Para tanto, a discussão teórica sobre o “comum” (DARDOT; LAVAL, 2017) e o resgate do percurso histórico da comunicação publicitária e suas interfaces com mercado, legislação e educação por meio da análise documental fundamentarão o debate que apresentará, por fim, as possibilidades emergentes da publicidade, a exemplo da publicidade social, uma vertente de resistência em plena era do capitalismo cognitivo.
