Abstract
Nectandra nitidula Nees é uma espécie popularmente conhecida como “canela-amarela”, pertencente à família Lauraceae, com distribuição tropical e subtropical, muito comum em matas próximas de rios ou locais antropizados, localizadas nas áreas de Cerrados. O presente estudo objetivou avaliar a morfologia e anatomia foliar da espécie a fim de fornecer informações morfoanatômicas e expandir os estudos biológicos botânicos. As lâminas foliares foi submetido à técnica de corte de mão livre, cortes paradérmicos e transversais para visualização de estômatos e aspectos da anatomia interna, sob o preparo de lâminas semi-permanentes, submetidas à dupla coloração, com o Azul de Astra 80% e a Safranina 0,5%. A anatomia foliar revelou uma epiderme uniestratificada com cera intracuticular, estômatos tetracíticos em ambas as faces epidérmicas, situados no mesmo nível ou ligeiramente abaixo das demais, com maior número na face adaxial, ausência de tricomas, mesofilo dorsiventral, nervura central com feixe vascular colateral, envolto por bainha parenquimática.
