Abstract
A instabilidade política no brasil traz à tona a discussão sobre possíveis soluções dos problemas estruturais observáveis no cenário político brasileiro. Em 2016, surge com mais força a proposta do semipresidencialismo, apresentada no senado por partidos de centro com o apoio oficial da OAB. O modelo surge como uma possível solução aos problemas apresentados pelo presidencialismo, que são fruto de particularidades geográficas e sociais, com cuidado de evitar ruptura completa com a figura do presidente, sendo, neste ponto, diferente do parlamentarismo, onde ocorre a diferenciação entre as funções de chefe de governo e chefe de estado. É que o semipresidencialismo permitirá ao chefe do executivo ações em ambas as funções, o que por vezes poderá resultar em sobreposição do papel do presidente com o do primeiro-ministro.
