Abstract
Il s'agit d'une tentative d'aborder dans une perspective diachronique comment la politique culturelle du Québec a été modifiée et établie avec sa propre identité culturelle. Nous avons donc retracé les ancrages historiques, culturels et identitaires qui ont contribué au fil du temps à la légitimité avérée pour les uns, discutable pour les autres. Le Québec est considéré comme une communauté unique non seulement au Canada, mais aussi en Amérique du Nord. Comme la culture québécoise a coexisté et s'est développée sur une longue période, son originalité culturelle se trouve dans le patrimoine historique transmis par le passé et l'acceptation de riches cultures hétérogènes de divers peuples. Par conséquent, les aspects historiques, socioculturels, politiques et économiques du Québec sont des facteurs très importants. Nous avons donc visé à exposer la spécificité du Québec dans l’ensemble canadien et à comprendre cet attachement à la culture québécoise. Ensuite, nous avons visé à retracer les premières initiatives en faveur des arts, des lettres et du patrimoine dans une société coloniale et avons fait un tour d’horizon sur le développement d’une politique culturelle du Québec.
