Ruang kuliah merupakan salah satu fasilitas kunci dalam penyelenggaraan kegiatan belajar-mengajar yang ada di kampus ITB. Faktanya, tidak semua ruang kuliah yang ada memiliki kondisi kenyamanan yang sama. Ada ruang kuliah yang dirasa nyaman, dan ada pula yang tidak. Padahal, sudah semestinya kondisi ruang kuliah diberi perhatian khusus karena mempengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran yang ada. Kondisi ruang kuliah juga berpengaruh dalam pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran yang efisien. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mencari tahu faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kenyamanan ruang kuliah di kampus ITB berdasarkan persepsi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif serta bersifat eksploratif dengan pendekatan grounded theory. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner daring yang bersifat terbuka (open-ended) dan dibagikan dalam lingkungan mahasiswa ITB Ganesha (purposive non-random sampling). Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan metode analisis isi konvensional dan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis distribusi. Dari hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa terdapat 3 faktor yang mempengaruhi kenyamanan ruang kuliah, yaitu kondisi non-fisik ruangan, kondisi fisik ruangan, fasilitas ruangan. Didukung penelitian lainnya, faktor kondisi non-fisik ruangan menjadi faktor yang paling dominan sehingga tidak dapat diabaikan lagi. Dengan demikian, segala perbaikan dan pengembangan ruang kuliah yang dilakukan pada masa kembalinya pembelajaran luring ini diharapkan dapat mengutamakan pemikiran terhadap aspek tersebut.
