Abstract
Artykuł dotyczy znanej od tysiąclecia, coraz bardziej popularnej i wciąż rozwijającej się techniki wytwarzania dzianin. Na przestrzeni dziejów zaobserwować można zdumiewającą ewolucję dziewiarstwa - od rzemieślniczego, manualnego sposobu wytwarzania nieskomplikowanych wyrobów do przemysłowej, w pełni skomputeryzowanej, innowacyjnej produkcji bardzo zróżnicowanych asortymentów. Dzianina doskonale funkcjonuje w wystroju wnętrz, stosuje się ją do wyrobu różnorodnych elementów wyposażenia i dekoracji pomieszczeń mieszkalnych. Jest również z powodzeniem wykorzystywana do tworzenia rzeźb, instalacji i unikatowych obiektów artystycznych prezentowanych w muzeach i galeriach. Dzięki postępowi techniczno-technologicznemu znacznie wzrosły możliwości produkcyjne dziewiarskiego przemysłu odzieżowego. Obecnie powszechnie użytkowane są ubiory o formach odpasowanych a także bezszwowych. Komputerowe maszyny współpracujące z nowoczesnymi studiami projektowymi zapewniają warunki do wytwarzania skomplikowanych, przestrzennych struktur i wielobarwnych wzorów dzianych. Autorka artykułu na przykładach dwóch kolekcji ubiorów prezentuje zastosowanie wybranych splotów o specyficznych właściwościach, których odpowiednie zestawienia determinują̨ formę i fakturę odzieży dzianej. Kolekcje powstały z zastosowaniem różnorodnych technologii dziewiarskich przy użyciu zróżnicowanych urządzeń. Potencjał strukturalny dzianiny, pozwala na wykorzystywanie jej zarówno w produkcji ubiorów użytkowych jak i w twórczych działaniach artystycznych.
