Abstract

Data visualization is a key component in quantitative research, as it often paves the way to more informed statistical analyses and more efficient presentation of findings. In this chapter, we will explore how to apply visualization techniques to categorical data using R. We will discuss important challenges involved in scalar data and will see how to plot such data appropriately as well as how to visually present the statistical results of an ordinal model.
