Télétravail et formes de contrôle émergentes : le cas du secteur bancaire et financier pendant la crise sanitaire de la Covid-19

Le 17 mars 2020, les entreprises françaises ont soudainement placé leurs collaborateurs en télétravail à temps plein à la suite du premier confinement. Cette réorganisation dans l’urgence a été rendue possible grâce aux nouvelles technologies de l’information et de la communication. Mais elle a aussi subitement engendré de nouveaux modes d’organisation du travail, et en particulier de nouvelles formes de contrôle. La littérature sur le télétravail nous indique qu’un tel changement s’accompagne traditionnellement d’un renforcement du contrôle par les résultats. Notre étude exploratoire menée auprès de dix-sept salariés du secteur bancaire et financier révèle à l’inverse une baisse du contrôle par les résultats. Si cette baisse peut s’expliquer en partie par le contexte singulier de la crise de la Covid-19, notre étude souligne l’émergence de nouvelles formes de contrôle par les comportements (micro-management, multiplications des réunions) et par les ‟ inputs ” (multiplications des formations). Elle met surtout en exergue le renforcement du contrôle technologique et l’émergence d’une forme d’autocontrôle plus diffus, à travers la co-construction d’une culture d’entreprise fondée sur l’urgence et l’hyper-réactivité, un fort sentiment de redevabilité et la surveillance par les pairs.
