Abstract
El desplegament del turisme de creuers en una destinació condueix, mitjançant un procés de reterritorialització de l'espai de vida, a la producció d'un espai de turisme de creuers. Per donar resposta a les prerrogatives del seu model de negoci, la indústria del turisme de creuers està desenvolupant aquest nou espai mitjançant la mobilització de processos biopolítics que es deriven d'estratègies de control territorial sobre la mobilitat dels turistes i la dels agents turístics locals. A partir d'una metodologia quantitativa i d'un model d'espai turístic que té en compte 16 zones produïdes per la territorialització de l'espai de vida de les comunitats receptores, l'estudi proposa una comprensió detallada de les estratègies discursives i materials posades en marxa per la indústria del turisme de creuers per garantir el control de l'espai ocupat. Es parla de la gestió territorial per part de les comunitats locals mitjançant l'exercici del biopoder democràtic “de baix a dalt”.
