Les violences policières à caractère raciste sont un des sujets sociaux et politiques qui peuvent apparaître dans les morceaux de rap. Mais si certains morceaux répondent à cette injustice par un développement rhétorique très clair, elle peut aussi faire l’objet d’un traitement troublant, notamment dans les morceaux qui relèvent du sous-genre de la trap. Les morceaux Bamboula de Bosh, Dolce vita et PGP de Booba contiennent tous des allusions claires au sujet, sans que l’on puisse pour autant considérer que celui-ci fasse l’objet d’un discours, à la fois sur le plan grammatical et sur le plan idéologique. Plutôt que l’effet d’une contradiction personnelle, nous proposons d’y voir le fruit d’une double contrainte générique. D’une part, celle de l’éthos particulier imposé par la trap, et d’autre part, à travers la tradition de l’égo-trip, celle d’un certain éclatement thématique propre au sous- genre, qui rend impossible toute constitution d’un discours organisé.
