Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The exact mechanism behind Type Ia supernovae (SNe-Ia) and the nature of the\nprogenitors is poorly understood, although several theories vie for supremacy.\nTheir secured importance to the study of cosmology necessitates a resolution to\nthis problem. Observations of nearby SNe-Ia are therefore critical to determine\nwhich theory, if any, is the correct one. SN 2014J discovered at a relatively\nclose 3.5 Mpc in the galaxy M82 provides such an opportunity. In this paper we\ngive specific predictions for SN 2014J in the context of the Quark Nova Ia\n(QN-Ia) model. Predictions include X-ray luminosities just prior and hundreds\nof days after the explosion, light curve "glitches", neutrino emission, heavy\nelement creation, and gravitational signatures.\n

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
