Abstract
Situé au confluent de plusieurs traditions littéraires, le roman de la première Renaissance explore avec attention le domaine sentimental. Mais s’il se focalise tout particulièrement sur le sentiment amoureux, il ne néglige pas pour autant la place accordée à l’amitié. Ces affinités sélectives, qu’il s’agisse de l’amitié qui unit deux personnes du même sexe ou bien de la « parfaite amitié », mettent toutefois souvent en jeu un troisième élément qui vient perturber la relation amicale. En effet, la fiction sentimentale vient nourrir le débat sur le rôle des passions, qui agite alors les milieux intellectuels. Notre étude parcourt les romans sentimentaux et humanistes du « beau seizième siècle » à la recherche du triangle érotique que forment l’amant, l’amie et l’ami. Dans un esprit satorien, nous analysons les topoï narratifs qui lui sont associés.
