Le but de l’étude était de connaître l’expérience d’étudiants infirmiers pour donner sens aux comportements observés, surtout dans l’enseignement clinique. La méthode herméneutique offre un cadre de référence approprié permettant la construction du sens. L’interprétation indique, notamment, que le passage d’une formation centrée sur l’enseignement à une formation centrée sur l’apprentissage n’est pas chose aisée dans un contexte de formation en alternance. Les rôles des acteurs de la formation s’en trouvent changés. Pour faire face à l’incertitude et aux difficultés de l’auto-évaluation, les étudiants informants ont adopté des comportements stratégiques diversifiés. Quelques pistes pour consolider le changement de paradigme sont envisagées.
