Abstract
Commercial Banking (MIC: 8.1 SIC: 6029 NAIC: 522110) Canadian Western Bank operates only in Canada and is a Schedule I bank with branches located exclusively in the western provinces. Co. offers a comprehensive range of personal and commercial banking and trust services. Since the end of April 2004 Co. also offers personal home and automobile insurance to customers in British Columbia and Alberta through Canadian Direct Insurance Inc. As of Oct 31 2005 there were 31 bank branches located in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. At year end, Co.'s total assets amounted to C$5,705,028,000 and total deposits amounted to C$4,913,307,000.
