L’acte d’enseigner comporte deux dimensions centrales (Altet, 2002): la didactique et la gestion de la classe et celles-ci sont interreliées et interdépendantes au sein de la pratique de toute personne enseignante (Butlen, Charles-Pezard et Masselot, 2011, Dumouchel 2017). Des chercheuses et des chercheurs ont systématiquement étudié la nature du lien qui existe entre ces deux dimensions : l’influence de l’une sur l’autre, le positionnement de l’une par rapport à l’autre, leur interdépendance, etc. (Dumouchel, 2017; Deblois et Larivière, 2012; Butlen, Charles-Pezard et Masselot, 2011; Lanaris et Beaudoin, 2011; Marquet, 2005; Vanhulle, 1999; Freinet, 1939). En plus d’offrir une vision unificatrice de l’acte d’enseigner, les articles de ce numéro thématique permettent d’approfondir ce lien et de répertorier les avancées scientifiques et actuelles dans le domaine de la gestion de la classe.
