A ADEL é uma instituição sem fins lucrativos fundada em Pentecoste em 2007 com o objetivo de capacitar jovens rurais a desenvolver seus próprios negócios e ficar no território onde nasceram como empreendedores. Uma das metodologias mais conhecidas da ADEL é o PJER, um projeto de formação de jovens empreendedores rurais, uma tecnologia social que já formou e financiou centenas de jovens na região do Semiárido. Em 2019, a ADEL lançou o programa PJER Diversidade, tendo como alvo a comunidade LGBTQIA+. Trata-se de um imenso desafio não somente para os fundadores e gestores da ADEL como também para os participantes e para a comunidade local.
