Abstract
Résumé : Cet article propose une étude de la pièce fantaisiste Le Roman du Chaperon Rouge, écrite par le jeune Alphonse Daudet en 1859. L’héroïne éponyme du célèbre conte y fait l’éloge d’un hédonisme sans scrupule, qu’elle vante auprès de plusieurs personnages-types : un écolier, un homme de lettres, un couple d’amoureux, un fou. Nous verrons que le texte met en vis-à-vis deux régimes, celui de l’oralité et celui de la littératie, auxquels est rattaché un imaginaire graphique de la courbe et de la ligne droite. Nous déduirons de cette analyse que la raison ne se trouve pas toujours là où elle semble être à première vue. Cette pièce, qui apparaît être aussi légère que le Chaperon, se révèle particulièrement éloquente par rapport à la posture de l’écrivain fantaisiste, voire du genre lui-même.
