Abstract

Neste trabalho, apontamos, a partir de diferentes experiências com comunidades tradicionais - em suas múltiplas e diversas territorialidades -, reflexões para a descolonização do planejamento territorial. São apresentados quatro casos – “Retomada Yjerê” (Porto Alegre/RS), “Pico do Jaraguá” (São Paulo/SP), “Aldeia dos Irredutíveis” (Maricá/RJ) e “Beiradão do Xingu” (Altamira e Vitória do Xingu/PA) – que se relacionam com as experiências de pesquisa e ativismo dos autores e autoras. Apesar de situadas em diferentes partes do território brasileiro e marcadas por suas particularidades, as experiências evidenciam as marcas da modernidade-colonialidade nas formas de produção do espaço, tanto por parte do Estado quanto por atores privados. Pretendemos, de tal forma, tecer problematizações à luz das discussões sobre a (des)colonização do pensamento e seus efeitos para compreensão das práticas urbanas e de planejamento que se erguem nos territórios apresentados neste trabalho, bem como do conteúdo simbólico que carregam consigo.
