Abstract
Localizadas ao Sul do Rio Grande do Sul, Pelotas e Rio Grande conformam a segunda região do Brasil com maior número de Casas de Religiões de Matrizes Africanas. Estimase que sejam duas mil Casas de Religiões de Matrizes Africanas apenas na cidade de Pelotas. A partir do Projeto de Extensão Terra de Santo/UFPel, foram construídas cartografias com os trajetos que Filhos/as de Santo fazem em seus cotidianos, e para a realização de Rituais Sagrados. Essas cartografias acrescentaram aos debates de uma exposição digital e se tornaram um importante instrumento de comunicação com o público visitante do site, uma ferramenta visual para demonstrar essa Pelotas Sagrada trazendo à tona uma outra concepção de Sul e de cidade, tornando menos abstrata a Pelotas Macumbeira, Batuqueira, Umbandista, Quimbandista, Candomblecista que antes fervilhava apenas na oralidade e na imaginação de grupos específicos (praticantes de Religiões de Matrizes Africanas).
