Abstract

They are visible and common lesions in the canine epithelium, presenting as solitary, firm and delimited nodules, but the etiology of these lesions is still somewhat uncertain. The report is the case of an eleven-year-old female Labrador breed, where the tutor noticed a fast-growing nodule in the lower costal region. The recommended treatment was surgical removal with a safety margin and the removed sample was packaged and sent to the laboratory for biopsy and subsequent confirmation of the diagnosis.
