Abstract
Coronary artery fistulas are rare vascular malformations that can result in catastrophic outcomes for patients. Although the majority are asymptomatic, symptomatic fistulas present in ways that mimic other medical conditions. Making a diagnosis of a coronary artery fistula is challenging and relies on physical examination, electrocardiogram data, imaging, and clinical gestalt. However, most fistulas are detected incidentally. Although clear treatment protocols are not well defined, early detection of the fistula is the most important factor in preventing complications and choosing the most appropriate management strategy.
