Se trata de presentar la lectura crítica que hace Merleau-Ponty de la noción Gestaltpropuesta por los psicólogos de la Forma. A pesar de valorar la tesis de que, en las experienciasperceptiva y conductual, los objetos se donan como totalidades intuidas o Gestalten, es decir,reveladas sin necesidad de mediación reflexiva; Merleau-Ponty critica a los psicólogos de laForma por intentar presentar a estas organizaciones espontaneas como si fueran leyesobjetivas.
