À l’occasion de la future publication du catalogue de l’œuvre de René Lochon dans l’Inventaire du fonds français, nous donnons ici quelques documents d’archives inédits sur les principales étapes de sa vie (apprentissage auprès de Jean Ganière, mariage, inventaire après-décès) qui documentent et permettent de mieux comprendre le parcours de cet important graveur parisien du xviie siècle
