Andrée-Paule Lafont (1922-2015) fut une actrice reconnue de l’occitanisme dans les années 1950 jusqu’au début des années 1960. Elle s’est vivement impliquée dans le domaine de la poésie occitane comme poète et comme lectrice exigeante des cahiers de la jeune collection Messatges. Son activité de critique que l’on suit dans les articles publiés notamment dans la revue Oc culmine avec l’édition, en 1962, de la remarquable Anthologie de la poésie occitane. Dans le même temps, A.-P. Lafont compte au nombre des précurseurs les plus éclairés de l’enseignement de l’occitan. Nous présenterons les différents aspects d’une œuvre ambitieuse à laquelle elle mit soudainement un point d’arrêt.
