Le Jeu sérieux sur la compétence numérique étudiante universitaire est une ressource éducative libre conçue pour soutenir les étudiants et étudiantes universitaires dans le développement de la compétence numérique telle que définie dans le Cadre de référence de la compétence numérique du Québec (ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur, 2019a). Le développement de ce jeu sérieux exprime l’engagement du réseau de l’Université du Québec au regard du Plan d’action numérique en éducation et en enseignement supérieur, 2018). Ce projet vise à soutenir les apprenantes et apprenants dans leur apprentissage au et par le numérique (Conseil supérieur de l’Éducation, 2020), en ayant recours à la stratégie pédagogique du jeu sérieux. Cet article présente les axes réfléchis et documentés relativement au développement de cette ressource éducative susceptible de susciter la motivation, de stimuler la curiosité et la créativité et d’offrir des contextes d’apprentissage innovants. Des constats et données émergeant des travaux réalisés à ce jour sont présentés selon une structure de travail multisectorielle et collaborative, entre des experts et expertes du réseau de l’Université du Québec. Ils s’ancrent également dans les résultats d’un processus de consultation étudiante pour mieux rejoindre les besoins des personnes visées par le jeu sérieux.
