Stage-discharge hysteresis evidenced by multi-ADCP measurements
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Stage-discharge hysteresis due to transient flow is often difficult to highlight during floods in natural rivers. Multi-ADCP discharge measurements conducted during a national ADCP intercomparison test in 2010 on the Rhône river downstream Génissiat dam, France, were used to evidence such effect. Indeed, averaging the discharges simultaneously measured by 14 ADCP allowed to reduce the measurement uncertainty, while the uncertainty due to the time-integration of a varying discharge remained low, due to the short duration of an ADCP transect. Applying metrological standards for interlaboratory tests, the combined ADCP uncertainty was computed to be â¼ 2.2%, ignoring the bias related to the ADCP method itself. The application of the Jones (1916) formula provided an acceptable correction of the discharge deviation to steady conditions, which reached 3 â' 4% typically. A 1D hydrodynamic model was also applied and confirmed that the observed stage-discharge hysteresis was due to the advance of the velocity signal over the pressure signal.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
