Une chienne golden retriever est presentee pour une furonculose eosinophilique. Cette affection touche des chiens jeunes adultes de grande race. Elle est caracterisee par l'apparition brutale de nodules prurigineux et rapidement ulceres sur la face, notamment le chanfrein. L'etiologie est mal connue, mais une hypersensibilite a des piqures d'insectes ou une allergie de ' contact sont suspectees. Les commemoratifs et les examens cytologiques et anatomopathologiques permettent d'etablir le diagnostic. Le traitement fait appel a la corticotherapie, qui donne d'excellents resultats en quelques jours.
